Ik hoor je praten, maar ik kan niet geloven wat je zegt.
U prijst de oorlogsmachines.
En dan vraag je ons om te bidden voor vrede en voor de overledenen.
Buig ons hoofd en vraag hen om onze vrijheid waar ze voor stierven.
En je spreekt van vrijheid alsof het zo eervol is.
Om te sterven voor een ideologie die het leven goedkoper maakt dan olie.
Dus nu is het een eer om te sterven om Amerikanisme over de hele wereld te verspreiden?
Om de straat te schilderen met Slijterijen
Wapenwinkels, Mc Donald ' s en Disney world
Die jongen is voor niets gestorven.
Door een land dat hem haat.
Onder een religie die hem bedroog.
Onthoud dat op Memorial Day
Dat jongetje bij de parade kijkt hoe de band marcheert.
Door het Amerikaanse volkslied te spelen
Hij zwaait met zijn vlag zo trots
Want dat heeft het systeem hem geleerd.
Op een dag zal hij gaan werken over opgeleide
En betaald door een bedrijf dat hem haat.
Daar vochten ze voor.
