Er waren tranen in de ogen van Jezus. er zaten spijkers in de palmen van zijn handen.
Er zaten doornen in zijn voorhoofd en alleen God kon weten hoe.
Veel pijn die hij kon weerstaan
Er was overal bloed rond de heuvel toen een moeder rouwde om haar verlies.
En we hadden allemaal baat bij de hemelse pijn aan de andere kant van het kruis.
Aan de andere kant van het kruis de kant die niemand kon zien
Over de geest van dingen die nog moeten komen over de toekomst van jou en mij
En wat hij die dag aan het kruis gaf ... er is geen enkel stukje liefde verloren gegaan.
