We used to scrub big Mickey’s twice the size in cattle yards
Oh but that was many years ago way back when times were hard
These youngon’s dress so lairy in their fancy cowboy suits
We used to ride in moleskins and a pair of Bluecha boots
But all our glory’s vanished, we’re forgotten men, it seems

Ik zit op de tribune bij een grote rodeo.
Met mijn wandelstok naast me terwijl ik naar de scène beneden kijk
Er zijn youngon' s ridin ' outlaws zoals ik deed toen jong en vrij
En ik vraag me af of er hier veel oude ex-rijders zijn zoals ik ... de paarden waar ze op rijden kunnen zich niet redden om hun huid te redden.
Oh ik zou graag deze youngon ' s zien op degene waar ik vroeger op reed.
Ik heb spinifex gebruikt voor een paard op de vlucht.
En brahma bulls als Wadgerra, we reden ze voor de lol.
De zadels die ze gebruiken zijn ontworpen om je vast te houden en de halterschanken zijn zijdeachtig om je huid niet te beschadigen.
We reden in vlakke (Poleans) in de dagen van lang geleden
En had een sigaret aan boord kunnen rollen, zoals Curio.
De ossen die ze gebruiken om te graven zijn niet groter dan een kalf.
En de tijd die ze nemen om ze te gooien maakt ons oudjes aan het lachen
We schrobden big Mickey ' s twee keer zo groot in veewerven.
Dat was lang geleden toen het moeilijk was.
Deze youngons jurk zo lairy in hun mooie cowboypakken
We reden vroeger in moleskins en een paar Bluecha laarzen.
Maar al onze glorie is verdwenen, we zijn vergeten mannen, het lijkt
Oude ruiters op de tribune alleen met al onze dromen
