He drank the hot coffee right from the spout
He ate the raw meat right from my hand
Drank the hot grease from the frying pan

Bewegen was moeilijk, maar ik was er klaar voor.
Wanneer de klokken luiden en de kettingen luid
Ik wist dat ik in een spookhuis was gaan wonen.
Toch heb ik besloten om te blijven.
Niets zou me wegjagen.
Toen ik iets zag dat me de kriebels gaf
Had een groot oog en twee grote voeten.
Ik stond daar en ik bevries.
Het deed de wandeling recht naar mij toe
Maakte een geluid met zijn voeten dat klonk als een drum
Zei: "ben je hier als de ochtend komt?»
"Zeg ja, ik ben hier als de ochtend komt
Ik blijf hier, Ik ga niet rennen.
Ik heb dit huis gekocht, nu ben ik de baas.
Ain 't no haint' s gonna joeg me weg»
In mijn keuken was mijn fornuis gloeiend heet.
Koffie was kokend in de pot.
Vet was in mijn hand gesmolten (pan?)
Ik had een stuk vlees in mijn hand.
Vanuit de ruimte zat daar een man
Op het hete fornuis met de potten en pannen
"Say that' s hot " ik begon te schreeuwen
Hij dronk de hete koffie direct uit de tuit.
Hij At het rauwe vlees uit mijn hand.
Dronk het hete vet uit de koekenpan.
En zei tegen me: "je kunt beter vluchten en hier niet zijn
Wanneer de ochtend komt»
Zeg ja, ik ben hier als de ochtend komt.
Ik ben hier nu, ik ga niet rennen.
Ik heb dit huis gekocht nu ben ik de baas
Er is geen heks die me wegjaagt.
