He was scarred and destroyed just from one man’s lusting
Touched in places that he never should’ve been touched in
Scared him said he’d kill him and cut him just to hush him
And for 10 long years he couldn’t function
Tell he met the one and only person now that truly loved him
And found a refuge when the arm of Christ held him

Toen hij verdween in het niets.
En ze geeft zichzelf nog steeds de schuld van deze dag.
Heb ik iets gedaan of niet gezegd?
In veel opzichten voelt ze zich als haar schuld dat hij het gedaan heeft.
Hij ging melk halen, maar kwam nooit meer terug.
Ze wacht thuis bij de telefoon.
Drie kinderen en werkloos en ze zit nog steeds helemaal alleen.
Wat ga je nu doen, ma?
Geef zulke dingen niet op. ze komen en gaan.
Hou vol, Dit is alles wat ik weet.
In elke situatie heeft God de controle.
Het tweede scenario is een beetje anders.
Ik wil niet specifiek zijn of expliciet zijn, maar
Ik zal het beeld schilderen en hopelijk begrijp je het nu.
Het vond altijd plaats als zijn oom op bezoek kwam.
En alles wat er gebeurde verpletterde hem.
Hij was getekend en vernietigd door de begeerten van één man.
Aangeraakt op plaatsen waar hij nooit aangeraakt had moeten worden.
Bang dat hij zei dat hij hem zou doden en snijden om hem stil te houden.
En tien jaar lang kon hij niet functioneren.
Vertel hem dat hij de enige persoon heeft ontmoet die echt van hem hield.
En vond een toevluchtsoord toen de arm van Christus hem vasthield.
Als je vraagt hoe hij het gemaakt heeft, dan zegt hij dat
Hier is de vraag nu vertel me wat je doet
Als je voelt dat de hele wereld op je valt
En alles wat je bouwde crash land op de top van je
En het kan niemand iets schelen wat jij doormaakt.
