Een meisje uit het noorden naar Londen kwam langs.
Hoewel het met haar aard niet overeenkwam,
Ze huilde en zuchtte, en bitter huilde.:
'Ik wou dat ik weer in het noorden kon zijn.'

Ze bloeien thuis in mijn eigen land.
