Het was een koude en donkere December nacht.
Maar een ster verlichtte nog steeds de hemel
Weg in een kribbe hoorde je een baby huilen
Het was de schreeuw van de Zoon van God
Een klein jongetje
Geboren in die kribbe om de wereld vreugde te brengen
