Mijn vriendin vertelde me zo ' n verhaal maar ze wist niet wat ik wist
Ik lachte met mijn vriendin toen ze aan het einde kwam.
Ik wist dat we je uitlachten.
Ze vertelde me dat je wat geld hebt verdiend en dat je frames op de muur hebt staan.
Mensen komen langs en kijken naar je gezicht.
En ze zeggen dat het de mooiste van allemaal is.
Natuurlijk protesteer je.
Daar ben je goed in.
Je bent bescheiden en verlegen tot het einde.
Je kijkt naar ze terwijl ze naar je kijken.
En je weet dat het goed besteed geld was.
Ze zei dat je niet meer dronk om bij iemand te zijn die je kende.
En je probeerde in de Bijbel te komen
Maar het raakte je nooit.
Je hebt nog steeds trouwe discipelen. Ik denk dat ik een van de weinigen ben.
Ik had niet moeten lachen, want Ik wil je geen kwaad doen.
Maar mijn vriend had me eerder te pakken dan jij.
