I thought of all the monsters in movies that I’d seen

I tried to calm myself down
There’s nothing there, I said
There’s no monsters on the stairs, they’re only in your head

And I had just convinced myself when I heard it in the hall.

Ik was nog maar een kind.
Ik zal het nooit vergeten.
Op een nacht werd ik laat wakker.
Ik lag daar in mijn bed.
Mijn familie was een Houthakker.
Er was niemand.
Ik sliep bijna weer.

Ik trok de dekens van mijn hoofd

Ik dacht: ga maar weer slapen.

Ik dacht aan alle monsters in films die ik had gezien.

hij haat het donker, dus ga alsjeblieft aan het licht.
Hij zegt
