Headlights on the screen passing far away,
I saw my eyes in the car, red light jumped on my face,
on to the screen and left me here.
I couldn’t walk away…

Op een dag verloor ik mijn gezicht in een menigte.
Ik probeerde het terug te bellen, de kleuren liepen in het zand.
Ik had dit gezicht eerder gedragen.,
en keek uit door deze afgestompte ogen.
Zachte focus ... zachte focus…
Om de beeldbuis te zien, en me te zien vervagen van zwart naar grijs.
Door de duisternis waar ik naar struikelde,
gelach in de verduisterde kamer.
Maar toen ik door de deuropening kwam,
het gelach leek te vervagen.
Zachte focus ... zachte focus…
Zie je me niet in deze drukke kamer? Kun je me niet horen?…
Koplampen op het scherm die ver voorbij gaan,
Ik zag mijn ogen in de auto, rood licht sprong op mijn gezicht,
op het scherm en liet me hier achter.
Ik kon niet weglopen.…
