Ik ben eindelijk geboren.

En de geur van mijn vlees ergert me
En de korstjes op mijn schubben jeuken.
En mijn ogen soms vloeibaar
Dus soms is het moeilijk om te zien…
Ik kruip op een dode hond, liggend op de rand van een plas bloed
Ik kijk als vliegen om het karkas heen, en de hond, we vrijen…
En de kreten uit het donker maken me bang
En de insecten in mijn vlees jeuken.
En de hemel is altijd zwart
En in de hond bloedt mijn lichaam.…
Eindelijk ga ik dood.
Mijn wereld verlaten, mijn rustplaats…
En de beesten zonder vlees zingen in het donker
En hun muziek is de liefde voor haat
En ik sterf, en ik leef, zodat ik weer kan sterven.
En als ik wakker word, heb ik rust gevonden.…
