Ik kan u niet alle redenen vertellen waarom
Jezus in zijn wijsheid had interesse in mijn leven.
Het moet eindeloos zijn de banden van zijne genade
Hij is geduldig met ons en lofwaardig.
Voorwaar, hij is Almachtig over alle zaken.
En boven alles is hij de koning
En hij is de meest barmhartige.
Want boven alles dacht hij aan mij.
Ik kan me de marteling van het kruis niet voorstellen.
De auteur van de schepping gaf ons leven op zijn eigen kosten.
En al de aanwezigen dachten dat het graf het einde zou zijn.
