Grijze lucht beweegt als een rivier stroomt
Heldere sterren flikkeren en de blauwe maan gloeit
Maar ze zijn zo hoog dat niemand het Weet.
Onder de wolken op de grond
Lang pad naar een berg zo hoog
Krekels rennen als we ze passeren.
En ik wou dat ze niet zo verlegen hoefden te zijn.
Toen ik het geluid hoorde van hun slaapliedje
Hoge boom zwaluwend in het licht voor zonsopgang
Kan zijn schaduw niet achtervolgen terwijl de schaduw weg is.
Neer kwam de baybird zingend zijn lied
Dus ik pik de melodie op als ik verder fluit
