Gisteren vond ik een vervaagde foto in een lade.
De jongen die op de foto staat, vereert ons niet meer met zijn lachende gezicht.
Ik zag hem die dag zo lang geleden, Hij vertelde me dat alles in orde was.
Kijk hier eens goed rond, vertel me wat geen Waarschuwingsbord is.
Was het de verslaving die je rondschopte?
Waren het de beperkingen die de wereld opgaf?
Sommigen vonden troost in dit geluid.
Iedereen mag een keuze maken en dit is mijn manier.…
Ik probeerde me voor te stellen waar je vandaag zou zijn, Ik kan je niet zien in de tegenwoordige tijd.
Ik denk aan die plek waar je verdween en waarom ik nooit ben geweest.
Ze zeggen dat het donkerste deel van de nacht altijd vlak voor de dageraad is.
Ik wou dat je door had kunnen kijken, Ik wou dat je het had kunnen volhouden.…
