Ik stond op een berg, zag de schoonheid die er omheen ligt
En voelde zoveel ontzag om te denken dat God dit voor mij gemaakt heeft.
Ik liep alleen rond middernacht, keek omhoog in de enorme lucht
En zag meer sterren dan mijn geest zich kon voorstellen
Maar van alles wat God geschapen heeft, heb ik nog steeds mijn favoriet
Het is een speciale plek die ik lang geleden vond.
Hoewel de wereld misschien niet ziet waarom. Betekent alles voor me.
Laat me proberen je te vertellen waarom ik het zo leuk vind.
Hoewel het een rotsachtige plek is waar ik mijn troost vind
En hoewel de zon onder gaat, moet ik omhoog kijken.
Om de schoonheid van een liefde te zien die kwam en mij vond
Mijn favoriete plek is aan de voet van het kruis.
Daar is ZIjn liefde groter dan elke berg die hij schiep.
En zijn uitgestrekte armen gezien breder dan de zee
En het bloed dat ik zie stromen gaat veel dieper dan de oceaan.
Terwijl ik daar rondkijk, wast het over me heen.
Daar zijn mijn mislukkingen vergeven.
Ik vind de dagelijkse kracht om te leven

Als het ochtendgloren wordt, ga ik terug naar Golgotha.
Aan zijn voeten zal altijd mijn favoriete plek zijn.
