If you had to have money you could have just asked me I might have said no but I could have referred you
To Doug at the bank who just gave us a mortgage
If he gave us money, he’d give some to you

Aan wie het kan schelen over mijn portemonnee
De paarse en zwarte heb ik niet genomen om te wandelen.
De reden dat ik het achterliet in de auto was
Ik dacht niet dat ik mijn portefeuille nodig zou hebben voor
Een berg beklimmen, hoe minder gewicht hoe beter
Vooral op 45 meter hoogte.
Nu heb je mijn portemonnee en ik heb hoofdpijn.

Ik heb een autoalarm, maar ik heb hem niet aangezet voor het geval hij af zou gaan terwijl we aan het wandelen waren.
En de rest van de buitenliefhebbers lastigvallen
Wie is er naar deze berg gekomen om te vluchten voor het lawaai?
Van de stad, het verkeer, de misdaad en de sirenes
Het geritsel en gerommel, het gebrul van I-5
En dus hou je nu het papier en plastic vast.

We hebben wat beweging, frisse lucht en natuur.
En jij ging winkelen met mijn geld en plastic.
Als u dus met de kaart met mijn naam stemt, stem dan alstublieft democratisch.
Als je geld nodig had, had je het me kunnen vragen. Ik had nee kunnen zeggen, maar ik had je kunnen doorverwijzen.
Op Doug van de bank die ons net een hypotheek gaf.
Als hij ons geld gaf, zou hij je wat geven.
Maar ik kan het je niet kwalijk nemen, de wereld is niet eerlijk.
Soms raken mensen dingen kwijt en anderen vinden ze. ik hoop dat je al die spullen in mijn portemonnee kunt gebruiken.
Maar ik zou dat condoom waarschijnlijk niet gebruiken.
